Ylläs has 63 slopes split between two villages, Äkäslompolo (north) and Ylläsjärvi (south), connected by ski runs but separated by a 20-minute drive. Äkäslompolo has the livelier evening scene: Sport Resort Ylläs for après, Taiga Pub & Kitchen and Restaurant Otso for the rest of the night. No mega-club. Quieter, older, more couples than Levi. Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is the third-biggest in Finland.
