Ivalo is the northernmost airport in Finland and the gateway to Inari, Saariselkä and the Sámi Homeland. Town itself is 4 000 people. Hotel Ivalo has a lobby bar and the Lapin Yö restaurant. Hotel Kultahippu has the only proper pub in the village. Beyond that, hotel bars and one petrol-station kiosk that sells beer.
